Thought I'd post a quick comment on Moreton Fisheries (ticket day/night),old misery guts Mal(you know who I'm talking about) has retired,the people running it are a lot friendlier,now even has a toilet and butty/burger van open all day and things are being tidied up (work is being done!).I know people who've avoided it like the plague for the reason of the grump so I thought I'd pass it on.To those of you who got on well with him and he never cussed,you can only of visited once.

Went last tuesday on pecks. Not particularly fishing for carp but had a great day, 69lb bag of bream and carp, biggest was just over 13lb. Went again on saturday, same peg but struggled, fish were there but for some reason was loosing them whilst my friend sat next to me catching a similar bag to my catch on tuesday. I hadnt been for years as when i used to go at the age of approx 15-16, i was made to feel very uncomfortable by "you know who". I must say i felt welcome again and will be returning to this fishery for the foreseeable future. At least my custom is appreciated eh!!! Good owners, good fishing and good bacon butties! :)
I would like to say what agood job this young man is doing.You are always made welcome.And the snack van is great too.Also mal is doing a good job of running the matches. And the fishing is great Thats what makes agood fisherie.Keep up the good work lads and mary.

I live relatively close to this fishery and would like to add to the comments made. Admittedly in the past I had a few run ins with Mal which at times could be difficult,however I cant praise Chris and his son enough for there hard work and effort since they took over management and the running of this fishery.
Chris is all way's welcoming and more than happy to spend time discussing how the fishing has been going ,a real gent and one of the nicest bloke's I've met in a long time.
He also makes a mean egg and bacon butty.
Well done guy's,ceep up the good work, and for those who have not paid these guy's a visit,do so, you'l be pleased with what you find.
